About the ratings
Ratings are given as A1, B4, C2 etc. The letter refers to the type of ascent. The number refers to the actual metres climbed.

A: Steep ascents are common on this ride.
B: There are occasional steep ascents, but most are gentle.
C: There are no steep ascents on this ride but there are several gentle ascents.
D: This ride is entirely (or almost entirely) along flat terrain.
